What type of edits do you prefer?
So here’s the deal. The last time I posted I wrote of image insertion problems and that with my new blog design I was unable to post images larger than 700 px wide. This has been very disappointing seeing as my new posting area is around 900 px wide. I forgot to mention that I am using Windows Live Writer as my posting tool. Since inserting pictures hasn’t been working out for me too well I decided to try and upload my images to Flickr to use HTML code instead. If you are familiar with Flickr, you know that it allows you to share your images in various ways including URL links, HTML, BBCode, etc. Sounds great right? Well, hold on. Apparently with free accounts you are limited to image size uploads. So even though my image was sized at 850 px wide my free account was only creating html code for 283 px wide! Really? How freakin’ frustrating! So what did I do? I paid the $24.95 and upgraded to a pro account where I can upload my original high resolution images. If the images in this post do not publish correctly, I’m considering giving up. I’ll have to find a way to be satisfied with not being able to utilize my entire posting space. So fingers crossed!

Not a care
I’m a little discouraged. Since the blog change (I updated my blog design last week) I am having trouble posting images larger than 700 px wide which is very disappointing. I was looking forward to utilizing the new wider posting space. It’s weird but when I post an image larger than 700 px wide, it’s almost as if the image quality suffers even though the image has been resized and saved specifically for web viewing at 850 px. It’s puzzling really and I guess I’m curious to find out if anyone else is having this problem? I am currently using the SIMPLE theme template on Blogger if that helps.
The other thing I’ve noticed is that my page is inserting shadow boxes/outlines around all of my images. They are white so you have to look carefully. Anyhow, it’s very frustrating! Looks like I’m going to have to look up HTML code for removing this. It never ends!
In the meantime, this little girl has NOT a care in the world. It must be nice!

A Fix for Posting Issues and a Photo Challenge
I’m seriously afraid to jinx myself here, but I feel the need to say “I think I figured out a fix for my posting issues.” Wait, let me knock on wood.
So here’s the deal. And before you get too excited, I should clarify one thing. I think I figured out a fix for my posting issues within Windows Live Writer. Unfortunately this fix did not work in the Blogger interface. If you haven’t read my Issues with Posting and Why Isn’t it Working posts and you are currently experiencing issues with the Blogger interface, please feel free to read them HERE and HERE to catch up. If you already read them, than guess what? I think I found a fix. Not sure it is going to work for everyone but I thought I’d share my findings anyway. Okay, so are you ready? Originally I was formatting my posts with justified paragraphs. I don’t remember what made me remove the justification (maybe pure desperation) but I did and wouldn’t you know that since I haven’t experienced any problems. Again I’m knocking on wood. What, I’m not superstitious. Anyhow, now that I’ve been able to whip Windows Live Writer into shape, I highly recommend it. You will have way more control and flexibility over your post content.

New Pics… Why isn’t it working?
Okay, I’m seriously stumped. I am writing this as a follow-up to my Issues with Posting post which you can find HERE if you haven’t already read it. I received a comment from Sarah over at It’s on the tip of your tongue that she was using Windows Live Writer (WLW) and loved it so I thought I’d give it a try. This very post, as I type it now, is being drafted in WLW. Before this post, however, I tried a couple of tests. Unfortunately when I hit that little ol’ publish button my posts were reformatted again. Some of the reformatting included the removal of justified paragraphs and the insertion of additional spacing between paragraphs and pictures. I just can’t seem to get away from that one! It’s literally driving me MAD I tell ya! I still would like to give a BIG thank you to Sarah and others that offered wonderful feedback, but I am really starting to wonder if it’s something in my own system. Perhaps a glitch of some sort?
