The Versatile Blogger Award

Go me; it’s my birthday!  Go me; it’s my birthday!  Nah, I’m just kidding.  It is, however, a great day to be a blogger!  I was nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award by the wonderful Jeni and Kendel over at Two Shades of Lovely!  I can’t thank them enough!  I’m really VERY honored especially since I’m fairly new to the Blogosphere and have been working really hard to meet other bloggers with similar interests!  This award will allow me that very opportunity.  Please feel free to click on the button below and it will bring you to the Versatile Blogger Award website.

So for Jeni and Kendel, here are seven things about myself:

1. About 75% of the year I suffer from pretty severe Insomnia.  Why is it not 100% of the year?  I have no idea, but I’m thankful!

2. I’ve been an Amazon Prime member now for 3 years and it’s the best money I ever spent.  It’s a complete life saver at Christmas time. I don’t have to scrape the ol’ car, fight traffic and crowds, and trek through a foot of snow.  I buy on Amazon at least once a week.  I buy everything from Alivia’s diapers, wipes, and vitamins, to shoes, toys, books, etc.  It is seriously my favorite shopping website ever!  You can’t beat the prices!

3. I don’t know how to swim.  What??????  Yeah, seriously, I can’t swim.  I took lessons when I was a wee little one but they held me back.  I still go in pools, oceans, lakes but I just sort of walk around or do the doggy paddle.  Thank God for my husband who is a great swimmer.  He’ll be teaching Alivia VERY soon.

4. I don’t like bugs but I love to camp!  Go figure right?  I love sleeping in tents, making fires, roasting marshmallows, hiking, biking.  I love it all!

5. I have a HUGE pet peeve.  I can’t stand when people don’t make eye contact with me when I’m speaking to them.  It drives me crazy!  It makes me feel like they are not listening and I’m just wasting my breath.  I know in some cases they ARE listening, but the lack of eye contact still leaves me guessing.

6. For a couple of years before Alivia was born, the hubby and I didn’t want children.  We were happy to be able to both work, make money, travel, and lead a very comfortable life.  I can’t stress enough how happy I am that we decided to have a child!  I know all parents say this, but I really can’t imagine a life without my baby!

7. I have a few addictions. Handbags, photography, blogging, and ALIVIA!!!!!!!!
