WELCOME to the first week of The PINcentive Blog Hop! I am extremely excited to provide this link up for you today and the opportunity for you to increase your traffic, followers, and improve your page rank! With that said, I look forward to partying with you on a weekly basis!
THE PINCENTIVE BLOG HOP; HOW DOES IT WORK?
Each week, 3 winners will be chosen by our co-hosts. As a winner, you will be featured, and your content will be pinned a minimum of 31 times by my Pinterest Incentive Program team members below. Additionally your content will be pinned by the following week’s blog hop participants! That’s right; blog hop participants will be required to pin the winner’s content. The number of link ups we have will determine the total number of times your content gets pinned so PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SPREAD THE WORD! It will only benefit you in the long run! Also, as a winner, you’ll have the opportunity to co-host our next Blog Hop and choose our winners! Blog hop code will be provided to all Co-hosts on Sunday evening. This will give everyone ample time to draft their post and, if necessary, troubleshoot any problems that may arise.
Now, according to proper blog commenting etiquette, REQUESTS TO FOLLOW BACK are in poor taste. For this Blog Hop, HOWEVER, let’s rid ourselves of this rule (that’s right; throw it right out the window)! For this PARTY, they are ENCOURAGED and ENTIRELY APPROPRIATE!
CHRISTIE, CATHY, CRISTYL, JEANIE, ELLIE, MINDY, CYNTHIA,
GOSIA, MELISSA, JANINE, SHANNAH, KAREN, GINA, CASSI, BETTY,
JULIA, JAIME, NANCY, ELLEN, ANGELA, CLARISSA, NICOLE, NATASHA,
KATIE, HEATHER, MICHELLE, BRITNEY, GINGER, TIFFANY, MEGIN
Host: Elena @ CROPPED STORIES (bloglovin’ / Facebook / Pinterest)
Co-host: Michelle @ A DISH OF DAILY LIFE (Google+ / Twitter / Pinterest)

1. Follow the Host and Co-hosts (above) via a minimum of one method they’ve chosen to include above.
2. Display the Blog Hop button on your website (preferably in post or a sidebar).
To copy the code effectively, use your left mouse button and double click in the box with the code in it.
Then use your shortcut key (ctrl C for PC users or command C for Mac users) to copy it.
3. Spread this wonderful opportunity and Tweet about it!
4. Pin the winner’s content from the week before (N/A for the first week).
5. Link up anything and everything with the exception of giveaways and other link ups.
Posts must be family friendly and published in the past week.
Sorry folks, but only 1 post per blog hop participant, please.
6. Link up using your post url (NOT the url address of your main page).
Please provide the TITLE OF YOUR POST under Name.
7. Most importantly, HAVE FUN, mingle, make some new friends, pin to your heart’s desire, and leave some comment love!
PLEASE NOTE:
My customized PIN IT hover button will not pin the blog hop participant’s content.
It will only pin the thumbnail image and direct people back to my website.
If you’d like to pin a particular post, please click on their link to pin directly from their website.
I reserve the right to remove any links that don’t meet these requirements.
So awesome to see my picture up there! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteit's not letting me link up :( says I have to have a backlink & I have one but it says I don't :(
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting this fun blog hop Elena! Yay for you and the rest of us too! Have a great week! ~Ann at Tarnished Royalty

ReplyDeleteI am so excited about this blog hop! You ladies have no idea! Thank you so much for coming up with the idea! :)
ReplyDeleteYay! Such a fun hop, and I can't wait to see the winning pins for next week!
ReplyDeleteI tried to grab the button code, but it said the website disabled that function.

I'm having the same problem!
DeleteMadalyn @ www.home-hearted.com
Kim,
DeleteYou can highlight the code and instead of right clicking to copy, you can press CTRL + C on your keyboard (press CTRL and while holding it, press C) and it will copy :) You can do the same to paste it just V instead, so CTRL + V.
Hope that helps!
Amber
I love parties and I have been waiting for this one! YaY! Let's have some fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting, ladies!! I linked up my favorite sugar cookie cutout recipe.
ReplyDeleteOne small issue...your grab button code can't be copied because you have the right-click feature disabled on your blog. I did link to your hop at the bottom of my post though, which is customarily an alternative to posting the hop button itself.
Thanks again and have a great week!

Thanks for hosting and I hope that I did everything right...
ReplyDeletethanks for hosting babe...I'm off to work soon but will follow co-hosts later today...just so happy I was able to link up before work this morning. Will you be posting at night or in the morning?
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
This sounds like fun! I can't grab the button code, though. It says function disabled.
ReplyDeleteSandy

ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting! So excited to be a part of this party. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThis is exciting. Thanks for the opportunity and for hosting. Best of luck!!
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteYou can press CTRL + C on your keyboard to copy instead of using the right mouse button. Highlight the code like you normally would then press CTRL on your keyboard and then while holding it press C. This will copy the code! You can paste it like you normally would or you can also press CTRL + V to paste it :)
Hope that helps!
Amber
What a great idea for a party! I'm excited to link up each week!
ReplyDeleteRebecca @ Living Better Together
Thank you for a new blog hop - and so many co-hostesses! I'll do my best to follow everyone as soon as I can. I'll echo the comment above that I couldn't copy the button code either.
ReplyDeleteMichelle @ On A Wing And A Prayer
Great idea! Been looking forward to this for a while. I'm all linked up at #80!
ReplyDeleteThis is a pretty cool idea, but people should be warned that the host blog's Pin It plugin is pinning just the thumbnails of the other blogger's entries to the hops, which leads back to this page. All good for THIS page, but if you're really wanting to pin another blogger's entry you need to visit that page and pin directly. Now I have to go fix the last three pins...
ReplyDeleteThis is such a wonderful idea! Thanks for this great opportunity :)

This is BRILLIANT! I am so excited to be part of it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the hop! Having trouble with the button will try again later!
ReplyDeleteLoressa
Yay! I've been so excited for this new hop! I am a little late in joining because I was waiting until I finished transferring from blogger to wordpress! Now I'm all ready to go!
ReplyDeleteHello! Just a couple of notes you might want to include. When you hover over the image here on the blog hop and it says Pin It, you don't want to pin it this way otherwise it will pin back a link to your site with just an image of the thumbnail used in the inlinkz.
ReplyDeleteIt is super important that you click on the link (the title of the post, not the image) and go to the actual persons blog and pin from there. You can use the "Pin it" button if they have it or the share links with the Pinterest Icon. If all else fails, go to Pinterest, click your icon in the top right hand corner and click "Your Pins". In your pins that show up the first one that will show up will be "Add a Pin". Click that, then choose "From a Website". And enter the URL of the post. (It is in the address bar up top, highlight it, right click and copy or press CTRL + C to copy it). Then right click in the area given on Pinterest and paste or press CTRL + V. It should pull the images from the webpage and a description. Select the picture you want to pin. If for some reason it doesn't pull a description, you can be nice and copy the post title and blog name for the person.
Alternatively, you can download the toolbar/pin it button for your browser, so one easy click and you are done! http://about.pinterest.com/goodies/#browser
This will make pinning items, especially that do not have pin it buttons, a TON easier. It usually even puts in the description for you.
However, almost all blogs have a pin it button or a pinterest share button somewhere, you just need to look for it at the bottom or top of the post. Sometimes you can also hover over images with your mouse and a pin it logo will pop up. Again, it is super important you go to the post and pin it from there!
Don't have a Pin it button on your blog? You are missing out! If you have a self hosted WordPress Blog you can get a plugin from here: http://wordpress.org/plugins/pinterest-pin-it-button/
You can also get the Shareaholic plugin which will add Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and more share buttons: http://wordpress.org/plugins/sexybookmarks/
If you are on blogger or another blogging platform you can add a pin it button manually by going here: http://business.pinterest.com/widget-builder/#do_pin_it_button
Also #8 is not loading. The correct URL for this post is: http://wedofunhere.com/healthy-apple-chips-snack/
If you would like I can make an explanation post on our blog that you can link to.
Thanks,
Amber
Thanks for hosting!

"*For some reason, right clicking to copy the button code is disabled."
ReplyDeleteIn the footer code on your website you have entered a javascript code that disables right clicking. It starts with:
Very glad to be a part of this! Thanks Elena!
ReplyDeleteWow, Elena! It looks like this is really going well for the first week!!
ReplyDeleteYay! Excited for this!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for starting this blog hop Elana! And to all the ladies for co-hosting Super excited!
ReplyDeleteBTW, I've tried all ways to copy and past the smaller button from your Pincentive page (copy+paste, CTRL C+ CTRL V) but it's not working for me. I'll keep trying to see if it will work later.
So many awesome posts to choose from, so exciting!!!
ReplyDeleteSo excited to be apart of this awesome new party! can't wait to be a regular and get some great pins! Just linked up my Pretzel Bites and followed all the hosts! Hope to get to know you and all the contributors and pinners :)
