Disabling the copying of images!

I am so excited today!  It’s amazing how one little post can do that to me!

I’ve been extra cautious lately about protecting my images.  I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about watermarking your images so that people can not steal your photos.  Apparently stealing has become too much of a common occurrence!  Although I’ve been watermarking for quite some time, I wasn’t watermarking my photos in the ideal place.  I would always place my watermarks in the corner of an image so that it wouldn’t be a distraction to the subject.  Nothing was worse to me than having a gorgeous picture with a logo/text across it!  Now, however, I am watermarking right where I think it will be most difficult to crop out.  In addition to changing the location of my watermark, I’ve looked into disabling a photo so that it can not be copied.  I was lucky to come across this particular post over at Build a Better Blog!  It’s crazy to think that all it takes is a little HTML code to rock my world!   I realize that computer hackers can get around my little code, but at least I’m making it more difficult for them!  Go me!

I hope you will consider protecting your images too!

On a final note, I thought I’d share pictures of my baby!

I love the uneven part down the back of her little head!  This is what I get when I ask her to look at mommy and maybe give me a smile for a change.  That’s okay, though, I’ll take what I can get!  I make it work somehow!

Be sure to come back for a post I will be publishing later in the week on some actions I purchased!

  2. Thanks! I just read two other instances of crazies stealing kid photos...a little code would definitely stop some of these people from doing this.

  3. Yes! I noticed you moved your watermarks closer to her face - great job! We all need to do that to protect our little cuties.
I love her little red flowered outfit with the striped leggings! I love Alivia's crooked pigtails - lol - I am so guilty of that - I am in a rush and think I'm doing a good job on J's pigtails and they end up so crooked. Oh well! It makes it cuter!

  5. Super cute. You know I love those shades.

I did several posts about this (you can find them in my blog how-to's section here http://www.chichomeschoolmama.com/search/label/Blog%20How-To

Stinks that we have to do this because people don't have a conscience anymore. There are more ways- unfortunately I am finding new ways of getting around these methods. but at least we can make it a bit harder for them.

  7. I never really considered the "spot" I choose for text in a photo! EEEKKK! Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

  8. I should really do this! My excuse has been that I barely have time to blog! I don't even edit my pics so to do this I would need to learn a lot!
